I decided to experiment with a vlog (video blog) on my YouTube account. I wanted to get a feel for it and see if I liked it.
I had a podcast series on my old blog and found it a lot of fun but also a lot of work. With practice I could speak clearly and keep the information flowing. I never got into vlogs for two reasons: 1) my camera battery can’t handle video too well and 2) I feel more comfortable working with text.
This video was a quick effort but I learned a lot:
- Making a video is easy but it’s harder to make a good video.
- If want to continue I will need to download Audacity or another free audio recording/editing program.
- If I do audio I should write a “script” to keep me focused.
- I had fun and want to do more videos.
Overall the experiment was a success but I think it was a bit too long for a video response.
